Bee زنبور

Bee زنبور moves from Off-Broadway for its West Coast premiere (delayed from 2020 due to the pandemic).  Bee is a devised theater piece based on director and creator Melody Erfani’s paternal grandmother from Iran. A young Iranian girl is trapped in an abusive marriage in the 1940's. In an unprecedented move, her father uses his influence to secure a divorce for her. Her story is intertwined with interviews of immigrants that had to make the difficult choice of leaving for their survival.
